You Potty Train Your Dog

Question: How To Potty Train Your Dog And Teach It How To Obey You..?
I just got a new puppy like 45 minutes ago (She followed me home) and she’s not potty trained yet.
I’ve had 2 dogs before, but they kinda taught themselves how to go to the bathroom outside..
Haha well I really don’t know how to poddy train or teach a dog to obey,
So please help!
Thanks! (:
I know,this is the wrong category,but I like P&S.
So yeah..
Answer: Dogs are never “Potty Trained” but they do pee outside!
When the puppy pees, don’t hit it, don’t rub his nose In It.
Take him out side at least 5-6 times a day after he pees on the floor, he’ll slowly get the Idea & when he pees outside, give him a treat!

Potty Training Difficult Dogs

Question: how do i potty train multiple dogs?
I have three dogs. A red heeler mix 1 yr. A german shepherd mix 9 yrs, and a total mutt dog, around 5 yrs. Only the heeler mix have I had since he was a puppy. The GSD we’ve had for only six months, and the mutt (prudence is her name) is my roommates dog that she’s had for about a year and a half. Prudence is the classic rescue dog. We know very little about her past, she was definetly mistreated, she starts to shake uncontrollably if you even raise your voice. She’s been very difficult to potty train. we’ve tried sectioning off part of the house for them. (we can’t kennel her, she freaks out so horribly she has seizures)
the problem we have is that no matter how many times we take them outside, one of them is still peeing inside. but we don’t know which one. we’ve decided we need to go back to step one and re-potty train all of them. does anyone have some insider tips for potty training multiple dogs? especially if kennelling isn’t an option?
Answer: you will really have to stay on top of this one! Hard to do when they are already adult dogs. I would first keep them outside as much as possible to avoid them not going inside at all. Then, get those potty training mats for inside. Start putting them where they usually go to the bathroom, when they start sniffing around and go on the mat reward then with a little treat and praise. When they are successfully going on the mat, move it to the front of the door. If they start to go in the old place try to say no no! and bring them to the mat. This will probably take a couple of times. You dont’ have to be really firm or yell. Just take them to the mat everytime they start to go somewhere else. Eventually they will keep going back to the mat. When you have them mat trained. move the mat out side. Same thing, when they start to go on the floor in front of the door, open the door and bring them to the mat. That way sooner or later they will start asking to go out to go on the mat. (you can also just use newspaper) Good luck!
