Question: How do you Potty Train A Dog with out having to buy a lot of stuff.?

I just got a pitt bull terrier. And he messes but he is learning. Please Help me and my dog Riko.

Answer: Get a crate- you need that to start.
Next, get him out every hour, keep his Water up until you going to feed him or get him out anyway. Water and then take him out to the same spot each time- that place will have his scent on it and he will be familiar with it. use a code word- we use “get busy” with ours and he knows it means now.

Walk him often- he is going to be a good sized dog and needs to go.

If you take him out and he does not go- put him in the crate- wait a few minutes- like 5-10 and take him out again- to the same spot using your code word or term. Reward him when he goes.

We use clicker training to train our dogs- and they respond well. You click as soon as you see them doing what you want and treat immediately- it works well.

So, get a crate and use it. He should stay in it at night until he is fully house trained.

I am wondering what is the best choice for a small
dog .I need one with a knack for potty training.
Any experts out there.
I am considering a pomeranian or a maltese.
