potty train small dogs
Question: Can dogs still be potty trained, even though they are old?

I have a small chihuahua mix, and i was just wonder if its too late to potty train him!

He is 3 years old!

And is there any tips and tricks to Potty Train Dogs :)

Answer: some dogs yes and some dogs no.it depends if they have ever had training.i have had dogs many of different ages and some were trainable and some were not but i will tell you this.if he makes a mistake in the house DO NOT clean it with bleach, bleach smells like ureine to them, clean to you but pee to them.after he eats put him out 15 mins after he eats/drinks,leave him out for45 mins at a time.when he does something out side give him prase and a treat.when he does something in the house DO NOT hit him but in a firm voice tell him he’s bad such as,”what did you do”,”no”,”oh my”.at night stop feeding him at 10:00.put him out before bed and put him out when you get up.do not over feed him or he’ll poop everywhere.for samll dogs a good size meal 3 times a day.try this and see what happens and if you need more help you know how to reach me.

Potty Training Techniques For Dogs

Question: bathroom training?

I have a 11 month old yorkie who we got when she was 5 months old she wasnt housebroken by her previous owners but did come with pee pee pads we thought housetraining would be easy we tried newspaper, pee pee pads but she shreds them so then we bought her a crate she pees everyhwhere in there. She used to pee on herself as we would get closer to the cage to take her outside but has recenlty stopped doing that. Thank God! Everytime we catch her in the act of relieving herself and yell she keeps going until shes done she just stares at us like we are dumb. I’m all out of options for potty training. I have been consistant in taking her out after meals in the morning and all in between. We take her outside sometimes she goes and sometimes she comes in and does it. Is there a potty training technique for stubborn dogs? I need help for a hopeless Potty Training Dog! My husband is ready to get rid of her because she ruining our brand new house! Please help. I’ve tried everything!

Answer: Some dogs are next to impossible to train, but the most effective way I’ve found is crate training. You mentioned she messed in her crate. You may try a smaller crat. One that is just big enough for her to lay down in. When you take her out and know she probably needs to go stay out until she does no matter how long it takes. Then praise her or give her a treat every time she goes outside. When she has an accident grab her by the scruff and say no in a firm raised voice and take her outside. The pee pads is the likely the cause for all of your problems. In my opinion they are the worst. It teaches them it is ok to go inside. I wish you the best of luck. Remember be patient

Tips On Potty Training Your Dog

Question: How to know when your puppy pee’s? Any signs?!?!?

Okay, so I’m trying to potty train my puppy [ four months old ] by leaving it outside every hour or so – I leave the puppy outside for about 35 minutes – but sometimes when I take it back inside it pees inside my house! Does a dog have any sign when it’s about to pee?

I use to think it sniffs the ground when it needs to pee, but since I just got him for about a week, he’s sniffing everywhere to explore my house. So I can’t tell which is which!

So please leave some tips on when to know a puppy is about to pee!
Also I’m currently crate training my puppy (: .

Answer: what to do is stay outside with it… when it pees, praise it like it’s the best thing you’ve ever seen…. then don’t (i repeat, don’t) take it inside right away…. do this often…. it will take about two days for it to realize that if it goes outside, you give it tons of praise… it will then head for the door when it needs to pee because it wants praise…. the reason you don’t come right back inside is because it will quickly learn that peeing means going inside … then it will hold off if it doesn’t want to go in… here’s the trick: YOU have to be very aware of the dog… it will give you signals, you have to learn them.
